Mama Mia, that’s a spicy meatball! On National Pasta Day, you can celebrate more than just the pasta in your favorite Italian dish. You can upgrade your pasta with an assortment of sauces, meatballs, and cheeses. We enjoy using our Hot Italian, Blend 103, to give our meatballs that extra kick. When making meatballs our chef recommends utilizing one tablespoon of seasoning, a half of a cup of breadcrumbs and one egg for every pound of meat. For a more traditional meatball you can use a combination of beef, veal and pork or any of your favorite proteins. Just make sure that your meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees to achieve food safety. Find our Hot Italian blend on A.C. Legg’s website.
