Some stories are intertwined, and the legacy left by our company’s presidents over the years is proof that A.C. Legg’s #Journeyto100 has been formed on foundations of mutual respect, mentoring, and hard work. Today, we would like to give you a glimpse into the past by introducing our 3rd president, Mr. Paul Blanchard, who served from 1946 through the 1950s. Over time Mr. Blanchard gained almost 100% ownership of A.C. Legg, Inc., except for those shares owned by Mr. Charles W. Purvis. (Take note of that name for future reference!) When Mr. Blanchard was ready to retire, he sold the controlling interest of A.C. Legg, Inc., to his son, D.B. Blanchard. (Another name you’ll want to remember for later!)
